Open Learning

Open learning strives to provide the convenience of in-home education to those who seek it. Skills and experiences can be acquired at a distance with the help of scientific sources and references and other educational aids, such as video tapes, etc...

Open Learning Program in Ain Shams University:

■          Specialized programs in the Faculty of Agriculture:

The required documets (Papers):

■          The Original Thannawaya - Amma (final secondary education) Certificate, or its equivalent, or an official Transcript of it.

■          The Original Birth Certificate or its official transcript

■          6 personal photos

■          A copy of the passport

■          The graduation certificate from the Institute for students who completed an above medium degree

■          A transcript of the grades acquired during the 1^st and 2^nd academic years for those with a diploma degrees from technical institutes.

■          A letter from the Embassy approving enrollment in Open Learning

■          A letter from the designated Faculty including a preliminary approval of the student’s enrollment in it

■          After fulfilling these papers, the student applies to the General Administration and foreign students’ scholarships.

General requirements for registering in the Open Learning:

■          Applicants must have a Thannawaya-Amma (end of secondary education) degree or its equivalent. Foreign Students are exempted from the condition of applying after 5 years from the date of their graduation from high school.

■          Applicants with a minimum mark of 50% on their total grade may conjoin the Open Learning program.

■          Registering for the program of Practical Legal studies is confined to applicants with Thannawaya Amma (end of secondary education certificate) or its equivalent from Arab, foreign and Al Azhar high schools.

■          Applicants with higher degrees are accepted

■          It is prohibited to transfer learners under this system to full-time or part-time students.

■          Education under this program follows the 'Credit Hour' system.

■          The duration of study is four years (without Maximum).

Schedules (timetable) for application: candidature for acceptance in this program is advertised in the Embassies of Cairo, and also in the Ministry of Foreign affairs or the concerned authorities and domains.
